The 1 meter dish and satellite modem installed at your office or home will directly connects you to the orbiting NSS-6 satellite for connections to the internet via our Teleport in TPM Kuala Lumpur, for your data, voice and video applications.

What are my minimum computer system requirements to get SMART Ku-band
Enterprise?
Most computers in use today will meet our minimum system requirements. PC/Windows: 300 MHz or faster processing speed, minimum 128 MB Random Access Memory (RAM), and Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, or XP operating system. 100 MB of hard drive space and an Ethernet card are required.
Macintosh: 300 MHz or faster processing speed, 128 MB Random Access Memory (RAM), and OS 9, OS 10.2 or higher operating system. 100 MB of hard drive space and an Ethernet card are required.
What operating systems are compatible with the SMART service?
Windows/PC : Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 or XP
Mac : OS 9.x, OS 10.2 or higher.
Can I have more than one computer connected?
Yes. Your one subscription could serve your own wireless network with several home computers and laptops linked via wireless cards. For Bronze package, you are able to connect to 2 PCs, Silver package is for 5 PCs and Gold package is for 15 PCs.

The brand new teleport facilities include fully redundant uplink feature facilities, TVRO facilities, secure equipment racks and available space for future expansion.

SMART connects to internet via 2 x STM 1 connection.
The STM-1 (Synchronous Transmission Module) is the basic rate of transmission of the SDH ITU-T fiber optic network transmission standard. It has a bit rate of 155.52 Mbit/s and is the SDH equivalent of an OC-3 (SONET).
