Teleport
SMART Satellite Teleport at Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), Bukit Jalil.
The brand new teleport facilities include fully redundant uplink feature facilities, TVRO facilities, secure equipment racks and available space for future expansion.
Internet
SMART connects to internet via 2 x STM 1 connection.
The STM-1 (Synchronous Transmission Module) is the basic rate of transmission of the SDH ITU-T fiber optic network transmission standard. It has a bit rate of 155.52 Mbit/s and is the SDH equivalent of an OC-3 (SONET).
